general faqs
Our We Might Be Tiny range is ethically produced in China within a carefully selected facility that fulfils all requirements within our strict manufacturing framework.
Each of our popular products is designed in Australia and independently certified to the highest European standards (FDA and LFGB approved). No nasties guaranteed!
All We Might Be Tiny products take shape in the stunning mountain forests of the Dandenong Ranges near Melbourne, Victoria. That’s where I personally design and road-test every new creation with my fellow design-loving husband and my 2 amazing tiny humans always by my side.
All of our products are made of food-grade silicone that’s free of harmful chemicals such as BPA, BPS, PVC or phthalates. For some of the bits and bobs that go with the actual products silicone simply isn’t the best fit. That’s where we’ve gone for an alternative material that makes the most sense:
> The sticks that come with our Frosties are made from strong PVC plastic
> The carabiner that turns our Keepies into the perfect travel companions is made from lightweight aluminium
> The Bendie Straws cleaning brush is made from non-rust stainless steel
Yes. All We Might Be Tiny products are vegan, cruelty-free and don’t contain any animal by-products.
Yes. All We Might Be Tiny products are made from food-grade silicone that’s free of harmful chemicals such as BPA, BPS or phthalates. No nasties guaranteed! Each product is independently certified to the highest European standards (FDA and LFGB approved) to make it official.
Silicone is an extremely durable material that’s kind to little munchkins and the environment. Your mini will grow up untouched by harmful chemicals that commonly are absorbed by food served on regular plastic kids tableware. And our planet will thank you for choosing silicone products because the environmental footprint for silicone production is much lower than for comparable materials.
And from 2021 you’ll be able to join our return-to-recycle programme where any of your We Might Be Tiny products that have suffered years of not-so-gentle loving from tiny munchkins can be returned to us for a second lease on life. A local recycling facility will shred and repurpose your used products in sporting surfaces such as soccer fields.
Many. To find out a little more about our story and the many awards we’ve added to our name, simply head over here.
We consciously choose how we do business. We choose sea freight over air freight. We choose recyclable over single-use. And we choose silicone as the naturally derived material that sets us apart. We aren’t perfect. But we’re constantly improving one decision at a time.
The We Might Be Tiny manufacturing process is ISO9001 compliant and regularly audited for labour standards, health, safety, environmental and business ethics. We wouldn’t have it any other way.
Giving back where we can is part of the We Might Be Tiny DNA.
We donate a portion of our monthly proceeds to the Australian Conservation Foundation and regularly contribute to community raffles that make a small difference in someone’s life.
Buying from We Might Be Tiny means you indirectly support Aussie small business. From logistics to photographers, from copywriters to marketers. We’re proud to outsource locally and support the Australian small business community. And if it wasn’t for the many Australian stockists that over the years have become an integral and valued part of our business, we wouldn’t be where we are today.
caring for we might be tiny products
We Might Be Tiny products don’t mind whether you wash them by hand with warm soapy water or let the dishwasher take over for you.
They all love temperatures of up to 230°C so you can pop them into the dishwasher every single time without impacting the product.
If possible store your We Might Be Tiny dinner and bakeware separately to plastic products because they can absorb a plastic smell if kept in close proximity for too long.
Yes. All We Might Be Tiny products love temperatures of up to 230°C so can be popped into the dishwasher every single time without impacting the product.
Yes. All We Might Be Tiny silicone products are safe to use in the microwave up to 230°C.
Yes. All our silicone We Might Be Tiny products are oven-safe up to 230°C (446°F).
Please don’t place the re-usable Frosties icy pole sticks in the oven as they’re not oven-safe and will melt.
Very rarely minerals that naturally occur in hard water can leave a white residue on silicone products commonly spotted on wine glasses cleaned in the dishwasher. This residue is not harmful and shouldn’t alarm you.
A simple trick to keep your We Might Be Tiny products squeaky clean is to wipe them down rather than letting them drip-dry. And if you need to remove any existing residue, simply pop your We Might Be Tiny product in boiling water.
Each of our popular products is independently certified to the highest European standards (FDA and LFGB approved). No nasties guaranteed!
Silicone is the miracle component that makes We Might Be Tiny products the versatile and durable wonders they are. No other material is food-safe and BPA-free while feeling at home in freezing temperatures and soaring heat. And the best part is that you’re directly contributing to saving the planet because you’re using products made from natural materials that reduce waste.
Those tasty tomato-based sauces our little munchkins love can unfortunately stain your We Might Be Tiny products. To prevent food stains, clean your We Might Be Tiny product immediately. Here are two simple things that help if a nasty food stain happens to hang around: Place your We Might Be Tiny product in direct sunlight for a day or let the dishwasher deal with the mess over several wash cycles. Generally food stains fade over time and will disappear eventually.
Phosphate-free dishwashing detergents may cause silicone tableware to hold on to certain smells. In no way is this a risk to your munchkin! Adding a dash of white vinegar or a non-toxic rinse aid to your wash cycle will fix this in no time.
To prevent this from happening in the first place, we recommend cleaning your We Might Be Tiny on the steam or dry setting when using your dishwasher. Giving our products enough space within your dishwasher will also help to rinse the detergent off thoroughly.
Silicone in itself is odourless, but smells from food, oils, plastics or detergent can take a liking to your We Might Be Tiny products. If possible store your We Might Be Tiny dinner and bakeware separately to plastic products because they can absorb a plastic smell if kept in close proximity for too long.
If your product has taken on a scent of something it has come in contact with, placing it in boiling water for about 15 minutes or baking it in the oven at 100°C (212°F) for about an hour should remove any smell.
Yes. We Might Be Tiny products are made from the highest quality silicone, which makes them extremely durable. We recommend only using dinner knives to cut your little munchkin’s food as sharp knives can damage the surface.

Stickie Plates & Lids
No. There’s no guarantee that the plates will suction to your table or the surface that you’re using it on. The suction depends on the condition and material of the surface. And sometimes these two simply won’t go together.
Yes. Our Stickie Plates stick to wooden surfaces as long as they’re sealed and smooth. Rough or unsealed wooden surfaces don’t agree with our Stickie Plates. Basically, if any air can escape from the space between the suction base and the wooden surface, then it won’t work as well.
We Might Be Tiny Stickie Plates fit most standard highchairs, such as the IKEA highchair. However, there are some smaller highchairs that don’t work with our Stickie Plates so it’s important you carefully check the tray size before you purchase. Our Cat and Bear Stickie Plates are roughly 21.5cm x 18.3cm with the suction foot measuring 20cm in width by 16.9cm in length. The Bunny Stickie Plate measures 21cm x 19.5cm with a suction foot that’s 19cm wide by 15cm long. Check out this handy tool that helps you visualise our Cat and Bear Stickie Plates (will I fit?) and our Bunny Stickie Plate (will I fit?) on your high chair tray.
Yes. But this highchair has a porous/non-stick surface which means it doesn’t suit most suction plates.
No. The Lids aren’t designed to create a water or air-tight seal, but fit firmly to help you store any leftovers of your fabulous cooking in the fridge for when little one feels like a second serving. For that reason we don't recommend using them to carry liquids if you’re going to place them in your bag.
Yes. All We Might Be Tiny products love temperatures of up to 230°C so can be popped into the dishwasher every single time without impacting the product.
Yes. All We Might Be Tiny silicone products are safe to use in your microwave and in the oven up to 230°C (446°F). Just make sure you place the lid on loosely before reheating meals in the microwave and always check the temperature of the plate before giving it to your little one.

Snackies
Yes and no. They generally hold smaller portion sizes which makes them suitable as a lunchbox for a toddler, but overall they’re quite small. We wouldn’t recommend them as a feasible solution for a school-aged child.
No. Not at this point so make sure you look after it.

Bendie Straws
Yes. Over the years we’ve received great feedback that our silicone Bendie Straws are a safe alternative to reusable steel or bamboo straws. Because Bendie Straws are textured on the outside they may not be suitable for people with sensory processing issues. We highly recommend consulting with an expert before purchasing.
Yes. Each set of Bendie Straws comes with a stainless steel cleaning brush that makes cleaning super easy. Simply run the brush through the straw a few times in running water to clean the inside and they’re ready to go for your next beverage. They also don’t mind the dishwasher. Take your pick.
Yes. Our convenient Keepies travel case comes with a single straw and a flexible cleaning brush that you can attach to any bag for when on the run.
Doing good for the planet one beverage at a time has never been easier.
Yes. All We Might Be Tiny products love temperatures of up to 230°C so can be popped into the dishwasher every single time without impacting the product. Alternatively you can easily clean our Bendie Straws with the stainless steel cleaning brush that comes with every Bendie Straws set.
No. Our Bendie Straws are the perfect size for munchkin’s milkshake or mum’s iced coffee and are wide enough to fit the odd healthy fruit chunk that finds its way into dad’s mango smoothie. If you prefer slightly shorter straws so your little one doesn’t spill their drink, simply cut the flexible silicone Bendie Straws to the perfect length.
No. Not at this point so make sure you look after it.

Frosties
Yes. Each set comes with 6 reusable icy pole sticks.
Yes. We do. Here.
Once your delights are frozen, simply push your treat out of the mould and push the sticks upwards to easily grab them. Here’s a little video if you’re a visual type.
No. Every Frostie comes with a clear silicon lid so you can store your frozen treats in the freezer, but they’re not designed to be water or air-tight. We recommend consuming your delights within a few days (if they even last that long), or alternatively pop them into an air tight container to prevent freezer burn.
Yes. All our silicone We Might Be Tiny products are microwave and oven-safe up to 230°C (446°F). Why don’t you bake up a storm and use our Frosties to surprise your little one with cute mini cakes? Please note that the icy pole sticks are made of PVC and therefore don’t like the oven as much. They will melt at high temperatures.
Yes. All We Might Be Tiny silicone products love temperatures of up to 230°C so can be popped into the dishwasher every single time without impacting the product. And the PVC icy pole sticks don’t mind it either.
Catchie Bibs
Unfortunately our Catchie Bibs will never catch absolutely everything. Unless your tiny human manages to drop everything directly into the catcher, which is highly unlikely.
Try using your Catchie Bibs inside out to open them up a little and see whether that works a treat.
Our Catchie Bibs are as low maintenance as possible. Simply rinse them off under a running tap, pop them into the dishwasher or even clean them in the washing machine on a gentle wash cycle.
No. Our Catchie Bibs come in pre-packaged sets of 2 popular colour choices. So hopefully one of them will please your little one (and you).
Catchie Bibs come with an adjustable strap that fits babies from as young as 4 months old up to tiny food explorers who are 3-4 years old and ready to ‘graduate’ from bibs.
Catchie Bibs are made from very soft, flexible silicone, which doesn’t irritate babies and children around the neck. And the adjustable strap helps to comfortably fit the bib so it doesn’t annoy your little one.
Yes. All We Might Be Tiny products love temperatures of up to 230°C so can be popped into the dishwasher every single time without impacting the product.
Yes. Our Catchie Bibs are lovingly referred to as ‘bib of second chances’ for a reason. They come with a small pocket at the bottom that catches food so you can scoop it back into the bowl or plate. And because they’re made from BPA-free, food-grade silicone Catchie Bibs are your safe companion at mealtime.

Grip Cups
The age really depends on your child. Typically you’d introduce a Grip Cup once your child can comfortably hold utensils. We Might Be Tiny Grip Cups are purposefully designed to transition your toddler from a sippy cup to a grown-up cup. They’re intentionally small in size, which makes them suitable for even the littlest hands to grip onto.
Yes. All We Might Be Tiny products love temperatures of up to 230°C so can be popped into the dishwasher every single time without impacting the product. But they love a quick rinse under a warm running tap just as much.
Yes. All We Might Be Tiny silicone products are safe to use in your microwave and in the oven up to 230°C (446°F). Did you know that they’re ideal for whipping up the odd mug cake? Just make sure to always check the temperature of your Grip Cup before giving it to your little one.
No. Grip Cups currently don’t come with a lid, but we’re working behind the scenes to bring you Grip Cups Lids in the very near future. So stay tuned!
Placemats
No. Placemats are all the same width (48cm), but vary in height. Both Cat and Bear Placies are 27cm tall while Bunny Placies measure 38cm tall.
We recommend you measure your surface before purchasing. Our Cat and Bear Placies measure 48cm wide x 27cm tall and Bunny Placies measure 48cm wide x 38cm tall. That should give you a good starting point to select the perfect Placie for you. Otherwise you can use this handy tool to guide you with a 3D model of our Cat and Bear Placies (will I fit?) and the Bunny Placie (will I fit?).
No. Placies aren’t designed for highchairs. They’re designed to be used on a dining table or a kids table. If your little one still uses a highchair, simply remove the tray and push your highchair up to the table so your little munchkin can enjoy their meal from a Placie with the grown-ups.
Those tasty tomato-based sauces our little munchkins love so much can unfortunately stain your Placie. To prevent food stains, clean it immediately.
Here are two simple things that help if a nasty food stain happens to hang around: Place your Placie in direct sunlight for a day or let the dishwasher deal with the mess over several wash cycles. Generally food stains fade over time and will disappear eventually.
Yes. All We Might Be Tiny products love temperatures of up to 230°C so can be popped into the dishwasher every single time without impacting the product. It doesn’t mind a rinse under running warm water either.
Yes. All We Might Be Tiny silicone products are safe to use in your microwave and in the oven up to 230°C (446°F). They actually lend themselves as the perfect baking mat. Just make sure to always check the temperature of your Placie before giving it to your little one.

Yes. Placies are made from the highest quality silicone, which makes them extremely durable. We recommend only using dinner knives to cut your little munchkin’s food or craft directly on the Placies as sharp knives can damage the surface.
